ICFA Convention - September 2005:  The Fall ICFA convention was great.  The ICFA brought in knowledgable speakers on all aspects of our industry.  I also really appreciated the vendor area since it allowed our technical guru to really look at the products and ask the tough questions.  We spoke to a lot of vendors and were able to check out a number of products.  As a result of the convention we now carry Armtec's waterproofing membrane, Platon.  We think it is a great addition to our inventory.  We also looked at a fabric footing form and may be adding that in the future as well.

Dutchess County Fair – August 2005:  Another terrific year at the fair.  The weather was beautiful and we met a lot of wonderful people.  More on the Dutchess County Fair.

Clearwater Festival – June 2005:  The theme was Zero Energy Homes.  We teamed up with Lloyd Hamilton (geothermal) and John (photovoltaics) to show how you can achieve a zero energy home/building.  We were at the Croton Point Park in Westchester on the Hudson River.    More on the Clearwater Festival.

Photovoltaics Installation – May 2005:   In an effort to offer our clients more green building choices we sent everyone to a photovotaics (PV) installation course.  During the course we (the class) installed a 10 kW PV system for the Town of Rosendale Recreation Center.  (Photovotaic systems use semiconductor materials that convert sunlight directly to electricity.)

Continuing Ed Training For Architects & Engineers – March 2005:   We had a wonderful group of architects and engineers attend our training on ICF design and construction last September and again this past March.  If you are interested in attending a training session in the future please let us know.    More on CE Training
